The kettle’s on at the Mullum Men’s Shed every Tuesday morning, and everyone’s welcome.
Kettle’s On (Pongo la Tetera) is a relaxed drop-in cuppa at the Mullumbimby Community Gardens. From 9am the Men’s Shed opens its doors to anyone who wants to meet over a cup of tea: neighbours, gardeners, growers, volunteers, or anyone curious about the Gardens. There’s no booking, and you don’t need to know anyone.
The Gardens are home to a community of groups, including the Mullumbimby Community Garden, the Mullum Organic Food Co-op, the Men’s Shed, The Elder Tree, Generous Earth and Seed Northern Rivers. Kettle’s On is an easy way to meet the people behind them, hear what’s growing and find your own way to get involved.
Kettle’s On is also a time to talk about caring for the site together and to get some dirt time in. After a cuppa, join Harry in the Big Backyard, or Charlotte and the Generous Earth crew, and lend a hand with whatever’s happening on the day. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Tuesday is also community lunch day at the Gardens, so you’re welcome to stay on and share a meal from 1230pm.
Come once or come every week. Stay for one cup or the whole morning.
